Video: Garfield, Momo, Slenderman, and the birth of bogeymen
My latest vid is about r/imsorryjon, a subreddit where people draw Garfield as sort of an elder deity who eats reality like lasagna. It’s funny, but Momo and Slenderman both managed to cross the barrier into non-ficiton by preying on real children.

How do we know what’s “real” in fiction? We can’t always trust the writer’s word, especially in the era of fan creations and headcanon.

I start an internship in data-engineering next Monday, so maybe I won’t have all the time I’d like to edit videos. I’m glad I’ve made a buffer.
